Urban Focus® was retained by Ashé Cultural Arts Center to manage and develop the application for a Project Base Recovery Opportunity Program through The Office of Community Development of Louisiana (PROP). PROP funding is Disaster Recovery Community Development Block Grant Funding (CDBG) Urban Focus has provided technical assistance in the preparation of documents and serves as an intermediary between stakeholders, including government officials, insurance agencies, contractors, attorneys, and the client.

 The PROP loan includes a range of activities and improvements designed to support economic and cultural development in the region. The principal objective of this application is the acquisition and renovation of a new property and the interior renovation of Ashé Cultural Center.

 The PROP Loan application has been approved, and then Urban Focus®  act as project supervisor to disburse the funds for the acquisition and renovations. The interior upgrades expect to be finished by 2023.
