NEW MARKET TAX CREDITS FOR HOUSING

Urban Focus® hs managed the pro forma for the construction of 68 homes in Phase One of Rising Oaks, a new community to be developed with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity in the Terrytown neighborhood of Jefferson Parish in Louisiana. The first phase of 68 homes has been successfully financed through State and Federal New Market Tax Credits. Phase two and three will follow. The infrastructure for the housing is complete and the homes are under construction.

We continue to provide technical assistance and financial development support for the project. The housing and mixed-use development is composed of four phases. Phase one, two and three have a total of 150 single-family homes for sale, including 50 smaller cottages for seniors, with walkable areas, parks, and other outdoor amenities. The fourth phase is planned to be a mixed use development including residential and supportive commercial development.
